I’m happy they added Elsa & Anna to the ‘Paint Your Own’ statue line and I painted them as soon as I received them but I used my own acrylics and glosses as the paint included with the models is less than adequate. The brushes included are also ‘non usable’ if you want to really do a good job on this statues, so I used my own artist brushes to create them. (You’ll particularly need a miniature figure paintbrush like the ‘Insane Detail’ brush for model figures, to do their eyes and detailing with any kind of quality.)
My main gripe about this set (apart from the subpar paints and brushes) is that Elsa’s chin was completely missing! She looked awful and I had to resculpt her jawline using Fixit Sculpt compound. Once I did that, I was pretty satisfied with their sculpts and went ahead and painted them for my collections. I’m not sure if ALL the Elsa figures are disfigured as mine was or if she was just an anomaly. I gave this only 3 stars because of the inferior paints/brushes and the defect on Elsa. If you’re buying this to turn into a really nice statue, you’ll definitely need to buy your own paints and brushes. If you’re buying it just for fun or children’s creative playtime, it might do as is but it won’t be easy to do by any means with the brushes that are provided. If you want to really make them nice, you’ll need to purchase separately pearlescent acrylic paints, matte acrylics, metallic paints and detail brushes. (Please note that when you view my attached photos you will not get the same results with the paints/brushes included in this box.) The statues themselves are made of a resin, are one piece and solid. They’re approx 1/8 scale models about 6.5″ in height each. I had fun painting them and hope you will, too!

Elsa’s head broke off from a very low (a foot maybe) fall immediately upon opening this item on Christmas day. Of course tears came immediately from my 8 year old girl who chose this item to be the first thing she played with after opening her gifts. A little super glue from super Daddy and we were all set. The paint seemed to be a little watery. I’d suggest making sure to mix the colors properly before you get started. And possibly get a smaller bush for the eyes. But otherwise it’s a fun product that little Elsa/Anna princesses will love!!!!
